Trip Valor
/Trip, a service dog in training, is named in honor of Airman First Class Matt Seidler. Matt joined the Air Force after trying college and several jobs. He found his calling when he went through the Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) school where he was one of only 3 graduates of his class of 25 candidates. Matt & his two teammates, Technical Sergeant Matthew Schwartz and Senior Airman Bryan Bell, were killed in Afghanistan on Jan 5, 2012, when a roadside bomb detonated under their MRAP killing them instantly. Matt had just turned 24 on Jan 3. Trip's name comes from the team’s call sign, “Tripwire”.
Trip, red collar, is from Walker Valor’s first litter and will be training with our Valdosta program. Walker’s litter, whelping through the first eight weeks, was sponsored by Scoop Soldiers. Trip will be training with our Tampa program.
We are excited to watch him grow!
